Johnny Boy

Johnny Boy came to us from Manning, South Carolina—weak, underweight, heartworm positive, and defeated by a life that had been incredibly cruel to him. X-rays later revealed bullets scattered throughout his body.

But Johnny’s story did not end with cruelty. He learned what it meant to feel safe, happy, and deeply loved. His tail began wagging, his beautiful smile returned, and he formed an unforgettable bond with the founder’s son—playing trains and covering him in kisses.

Johnny Boy was our third sanctuary dog, but he was truly the heart of our mission. He showed us why we fight for the broken, forgotten, and unwanted.

He left this world knowing he was safe, cherished, and family. We will love and miss you forever, Johnny Boy.
